You give movies hours, but social content seconds

With films or TV shows, most of us still give things a fair chance. One episode, sometimes the full movie, and only then do we decide what we think. It feels more respectful to the work.
On social media it’s completely different. You have a few seconds. If it doesn’t catch you, you’re gone. Not because you don’t have time, but because you don’t have the patience.
And I catch myself doing the same. Scroll. Skip. Scroll. Skip.
So I keep asking myself: are we adapting content to the way we behave, or are we slowly changing how we experience everything?
If everything becomes attention-first, what happens to the things that need time? Stories that build slowly. Atmosphere. Tension.
I don’t think long-form is going away. But I do think creators now have to understand both worlds.
How to earn attention fast, and still hold meaning over time.
